SPONSOR POST: Smile Brighter! Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth + GIVEAWAY!

Ever since having braces as a kid, socially smoking when I was in college, being a frequent coffee drinker before, we can all say that my teeth have stained over the years. Having whiter teeth has been a dream of mine since I’m a super smiley person (at least I’d like to think that).

I didn’t want to just go through any teeth whitening process, but at the same time I didn’t want to spend so much money. I also wanted to make sure I was using the right process for me since these are my teeth and you only get one set in your lifetime.

My teeth whitening dream came true when Smile Brilliant reached out to me. As I always do, I did my research on their teeth whitening process and absolutely felt right about their process, plus it wasn’t ridiculously priced. What I loved most was that they made custom-fitted whitening trays for you! Being able to go on with daily life was a close second in choosing this process.

How do you get started?

Smile Brilliant makes the process super easy for you! They will send you a package full of all the supplies you need. It comes with molding clay to make your impressions, teeth whitening gel and desensitizing gel, along with super easy to read instructions for each accessory they provide.

First thing you need to do is make your impressions so that they can make your custom fitted trays. They provide 3 molds just in case you end up messing up a mold. They also provide super easy instructions on how to get the perfect mold. Once you create your mold, it takes about half a day to harden before you can send it back. I waited about a day in a half before mailing to be on the safer side. It only took Smile Brilliant about a week to send back my custom fitted trays – so fast!!

Whats the process?

Once you get your impressions back in the mail, you can start the teeth whitening process right away. My kit came with 3 whitening syringes and 3 desensitizing gel. Each syringe has 3-4 uses.

So for the process… simply, brush your teeth without toothpaste and rinse your mouth, place the whitening gel on the front side of where the tray will touch the front side of your teeth, dry your teeth and then place the tray in. You will leave this on for at least 45 minutes, but you can leave it longer, up to 3 hours. Yes, this may sound like a long process, but you can go on with daily life while having this in. I’ve cooked, made lunch for the next day, caught up on TV shows, I even went out to vote while having my trays in.

Once the time is up, brush your teeth with toothpaste and place the desensitizing gel in your tray, they same way you placed the whitening gel. You will keep this in for between 15-20 minutes. The desensitizing gel really helped me because I was experiencing sensitivity issues with the whitening gel. When the time is up, you simply just spit out the excess gel and then you’re done!

My thoughts

Well my teeth are whiter, so mission accomplished! I did enjoy going through this process. It allowed me to live my daily life without interruption. I did experience sensitivity issues with this product, especially the following day, but it is bearable (just keep using the desensitizing gel). I would recommend this product to anyone because it does truly work. My teeth are still white even after a few days of not using.
